Damage: 20 +25% of your Physical Power Attack Range: 12 ft. Set’s clones also give minor vision, and also soak exp for him. Set can only have 8 spawns out at any given time. Set can interact with these clones with other abilities, commanding them to attack, and also teleporting to them. He can have 2 charges of this ability, which will let him drop two clones in quick succession.

  • 2nd Ability: Spawn Of Set (Clone, Damage, Unique): Set summons a sand clone to a point he dictates, and it will stand there, attacking nearby enemies.
  • Any dash after the first will deal 40% damage. If Set has sand clones in play, activating this ability will fire them in a direction he directs and they also deal damage and slow to targets they hit. Enemies caught in its path are slowed and take damage.
  • 1st Ability: Skewer (Line, Damage, Slow): Set’s hatred boils into a physical form, bursting in a line from him.
  • Relentless will stack to 10 for 3s, and while Kingslayer (Ultimate) is active, Relentless has no maximum stack count. This goes to 2 stacks if he attacks Horus.
  • Passive: Relentless (Buff): Each time Set damages an enemy, Set gains a stack of Relentless.
  • Smite Wiki gives him an “Average” difficulty, but I don’t really agree with that. He has a blind and a slow, but no hard root/snare/stun. He does have his teleport to one of his clones, but if you don’t have one placed/can’t get one placed in time, you won’t have any way in/out, so you really have to plan ahead with Set. One of the things a jungler definitely needs is some hard CC to lock someone down and get a kill, and it couldn’t hurt to have a very good dash/leap. His kit that will allow him to go in, slap the stuffing out of someone, and dart to a clone to safety. I’ve seen people do incredible things with the 2-1 clone snipe, but it can be lackluster.

Now, I’m sure his 1 will give him decent jungle camp clear, plus his clones, but the clone damage is lacking. Set belongs in the solo lane instead of the jungle, in my estimation.

He is the god of violence, chaos, disorder, and storms, so this is a very interesting story being woven. Set is the deliverer of peace and a savior, at least, in his eyes. He would be that murderer, and rely only on himself, creating his army of sand clones. As the son of Osiris, Horus, was unworthy in his eyes, it would be up to him to take command. So he would trust only himself, slay the King, and usurp the throne. To save the land, he would do what no other would, would pay the ultimate price – blood. In Set’s eyes, the rule of Osiris was tyrannical, and was a disease, slowly killing the land of the Nile. Again, thanks to Trunath for the solid footage. His moveset is unique among his fellow hyper carries, and there’s a whole lot going on. It’s not going to happen without a lot of experience as a jungler/assassin. You can’t just autolock him, mash out a move combo and win. He’s got incredible damage, but he has an equally high skill ceiling. There’s a fair amount of balance in his kit. There are definitely some very strong opinions one way or another. The question of is “Is Set awful or is he OP” is one that I’ve been seeing a lot of. Set is one of my favorite gods in the Egyptian pantheon, so I was very curious to get my hands on him in SMITE. Special Thanks to Trunath at Esports Talk for the Set footage.
